JOB VACANCY FOR A MIDDAY ASSISTANT
at Great Wakering Primary Academy
8.75hours per week MDA term time only + inset days
Monday to Friday11:45-13:30
Scale 2, Pay Range Points4
Actual annual pay between £5275.52
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Midday Assistant to join the team. You will be working alongside our team of dedicated staff to care for the children during their lunch break to provide a positive, happy, and secure environment.
The successful applicant will
• prepare the dinner hall for lunch, serve and clear away afterwards.
• supervise children in the dinner hall, classrooms, and the playground.
• encourage healthy eating.
• administer first aid if required.
• interact with children to encourage good social skills.
• respect the need for confidentiality.
Closing date: 12:00 Thursday 1st October 2026
Interview date: Wednesday 7th October 2026
