We are seeking an ambitious, passionate and highly skilled Deputy Headteacher to join our successful and welcoming two-form entry junior school. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional leader who is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for every child and supporting the Headteacher in driving the school's vision and strategic priorities.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes for pupils. They will be able to inspire colleagues through their own exemplary practice, demonstrate a deep understanding of teaching and learning, and contribute significantly to whole-school improvement.

We are looking for someone who:

· Is an outstanding and highly reflective classroom practitioner with substantial experience of teaching in the primary phase.
· Has successful experience of leading and implementing initiatives that have secured measurable improvements at whole-school level.
· Can model exemplary teaching, learning and assessment practices across the school.
· Holds exceptionally high expectations of achievement, attendance, presentation, behaviour and personal development for all pupils.
· Demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive education and ensuring every child can thrive.
· Leads behaviour and attitudes with a therapeutic, relational and restorative approach, supporting pupils to develop self-regulation, resilience and positive relationships.
· Is a visible and inspiring leader who builds trust and positive relationships with pupils, families, staff and the wider community.
· Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
· Is committed to supporting and developing colleagues through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
· Has the vision, drive and ambition to support the Headteacher in leading the school through its next phase of development.
· Acts as a positive ambassador for the school within the wider community.

The role will include:

· Supporting the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school.
· Leading priority areas of the School Development Plan and evaluating their impact.
· Championing high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
· Developing staff through coaching, support and professional challenge.
· Monitoring standards of achievement, behaviour, attendance and wellbeing.
· Maintaining a positive, nurturing and purposeful learning environment where all pupils can flourish.
· Acting as a role model for best practice in behaviour management, inclusion and therapeutic approaches to pupil support.
· Deputising for the Headteacher in their absence.
