After School Club Assistant

Scale 3 (c.£1,318)

1 year fixed-term contract, term time only

2.25 hours per week, Monday, 15.15 - 17.30pm

Larkrise Primary School is part of the Quantum Multi-Academy Trust and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Assistant. The position is for Monday afternoon to support the efficient running of our after school club. The position is for 2.25 hours per week, and working hours will be 15.15pm to 17.30pm.

The role will supervise and engage with children aged 4-11 in a safe and friendly manner and will ensure pupils are cared for in a positive, welcoming environment after their school day.

Key Responsibilities will include:

· Prepare and serve simple, healthy breakfasts in line with school guidelines

· Encourage good table manners, social interaction, and independence

· Organise quiet play activities (e.g. games, reading, drawing)

· Ensure eating and activity areas are clean, tidy, and hygienic

· Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and food hygiene procedures

· Support children's emotional wellbeing and manage behaviour in line with school policy

· Communicate effectively with staff, parents and carers

· Assist with setting up before and tidying away after the session

Experience of working with children is desirable, along with having a friendly, patient, and approachable manner. Good organisational and communication skills are required, as well as an ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications: good numeracy and literacy skills - (GCSE or equivalent in English and maths are highly desirable).
