Central Training Group has an exciting opportunity working in our Clacton-based Centre.

Duties include:

· Deliver targeted maths & English support to post 16 learners

· Deliver functional skills in maths and English from Entry Level to Level 2

· Review initial assessment results and produce detailed learning plans for students

· Develop maths and English lessons appropriate to learner needs

· Track learner attendance, achievement and progression in line with company and funding requirements

· Schedule, book and invigilate maths and English exams

· Support learners to prepare for speaking and listening assessments

· Provide first line support for vocational tutors in delivering maths and English in a vocational context

The successful applicant must have:

· Teaching Qualification at L3 or higher

· Maths and English at GCSE grade C/4 or above

· Minimum of 3 years teaching experience (secondary level or post 16)

· Experience of delivering functional skills qualifications

· Ability to teach in a clear, concise and engaging manner

· Strong organisational skills

· Strong IT skills (proficient in office 365 including SharePoint)

· Ability to work on own initiative

· A passion and enthusiasm to support young people to achieve

Start date: Monday 7th Sept 26

Hours/Days of work: Mon to Weds, 8.45 to 5.15. 24 hours per week. 42 weeks per year

Salary: £32,000 per annum full time equivalent. Actual salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
