We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committedLearning Support Assistant (LSA)to join our friendly small school in the village ofPebmarsh.
This is aclass-based rolesupporting amixed KS2 classand will also involve deliveringdaily interventionsto help children make progress in their learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to support pupils both in the classroom and through targeted intervention work.
You will also support children withmedical needsas required.Full training will be provided, including any specific support such asdiabetes training.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting learning in amixed KS2 classroom
- Working with individuals and small groups to deliverdaily interventions
- Helping children access the curriculum and make good progress
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
- Assisting with the care and support of children with medical needs
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff
- Promoting positive behaviour, independence and inclusion
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of, or a strong understanding of, theKS2 curriculum and how children learn
- Is calm, caring and adaptable
- Can build positive relationships with children and adults
- Is patient, reliable and committed to supporting all pupils
- Is willing to learn and take part in all relevant training
- Can work well as part of a small, supportive team
Working Hours
- Monday and Tuesday
- 8.40 am to 3.30 pm
- Includes a55-minute lunch break
- Additional hours may be available
