Join Our Team

Are you passionate about the Early Years and ready to make a meaningful difference in a small, nurturing school community? Feering Cof E Primary School is seeking a caring and committed HLTA/ NN to join our Reception Team, supporting our youngest learners as they settle, explore and thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a warm, collaborative setting where relationships matter, creativity is welcomed and the foundations for lifelong learning are carefully nurtured.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our Reception Class provision, helping children to learn through purposeful play, rich interaction and carefully planned experiences. Working as part of a team of three in the class, you will help create a calm, engaging and aspirational environment where children can grow in confidence, curiosity and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support a challenge-based approach to learning through plan, do, review, sometimes using provocation to inspire children's thinking, language and exploration.
- Deliver phonics sessions using RWInc., helping children build the essential early reading skills they need to succeed. Training can be provided where needed.
- Maintain high-quality continuous provision that encourages independence, child-led investigation and meaningful learning through play.
- Work closely with colleagues to support a rich Early Years environment where foundational skills are developed through responsive, well-sequenced interactions.
- Contribute to a classroom culture that values communication, curiosity and purposeful engagement. Modelling curiosity and resilience with the children.

The Person

We are looking for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm and a genuine love of Early Years practice. If you enjoy building trusting relationships with children, helping them feel secure and valued, and supporting them to aim high, we would love to hear from you.

We're Looking For Someone with:

- A real passion for Early Years education and a belief in the importance of giving children the very best start.
- Confidence in supporting Oracy alongside other key foundational skills, helping children grow as talkers, listeners and thinkers.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children and foster a strong sense of belonging for our newest learners.
- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work well as part of a team while also enjoying appropriate autonomy within an Early Years setting.

- A knowledge of using an online learning journey would be welcome, although this is not essential, we currently use Tapestry.
- A pro-active, caring mindset, with a commitment to making a difference and seeing potential in every child.
What We Offer
- At Feering Cof E Primary School, you will join a team where your ideas are welcomed, your contribution is valued and your creativity is encouraged. We are proud of our community, our team, our pupils and the supportive families.

Benefits of Joining Our Team:

- The opportunity to be part of a small, close-knit school where relationships and collaboration are at the heart of what we do.
- A role within a small trust, with the chance to work alongside another EY team and share practice across both schools.
- Regular sessions with our EYFS lead, supporting your continued professional development and professional growth.
- The opportunity to focus on getting the foundations right for our youngest children, with time and care given to high-quality practice.
- A supportive, community-focused environment with super pupils, engaged families and a strong sense of teamwork.
- The chance to be part of a class team of three, ensuring children receive the adult care and attention they need to flourish.
