SEN Learning Support Assistant and Lunchtime support (FTC)

Fixed Term contract until 16th July 2027

Learning Support Assistant for 17.5 hours per week

8.45am to 12.15pm

LG Scale 4 (Points 8 - 9)

Actual annual salary £10,609.

Lunchtime support Assistant for 5 hours per week

12.15pm to 1.15pm

LG Scale 2 (Points 4 - 5)

Actual annual salary £2,845.

We are seeking an experienced, empathetic Learning Support Assistant to work within our SEND hub within school, supporting children with complex additional needs (primarily in EYFS and KS1), to help them make progress, develop independence and confidence, and helping them to thrive and achieve their best.

You will work under the direction of our Inclusion Manager/SENCO and class teachers and be able to assist with the implementation, development and evaluation of One Plans / EHCPs. You will play a key role in delivering support within our area specifically designed to cater for individual programs and to support children's academic, social and emotional development.

You will cover the lunchtime period, supporting a couple of children with diabetes.

The successful candidate will:

· Be patient, calm, and adaptable

· Have experience of supporting children with SEND within the primary school age range

· Have experience of working with EYFS children

· Proven ability to implement emotional regulation strategies

· Experience of working with non-verbal children and those with autism

· Minimum qualifications of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths are essential and a SEND qualification is preferable.
