Role: Learning Support Assistant
Contract type: Part-time,Fixed-term
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Mon, Wed & Fri: 8.15am - 3.30pm with a 45 minute unpaid break
Tue 7 Fri: 8.15am - 6.00pm with a 1 hour unpaid break (Afterschool club responsbilities from 3.30pm)
Working weeks: 39 weeks (Term time plus non-pupil days)
Salary: Point Range 4-7 - Essex Local Goverment Pay Scale - Starting salary: £21,591.28
Start date: 1st September 2026

The Epsilon Star Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant with Afterschool Club responsibility to join Kents Hill Junior School, Benfleet.

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant with Afterschool Club responsibilities who:
- Is an outstanding and reflective learning support assistant, who is passionate about making a difference everyday;
- Supporting individual children with a range of Special Educational Needs to overcome barriers to learning and to close gaps in education.
- A passion for supporting children of all needs and abilities.
- The ability to work on a variety of activities with groups of pupils.
- Providing pupils with a calm, supportive and encouraging environment in which to learn and grow.
- Transfers high expectations and culture to the afterschool club.
