Vacancy - SEND Teacher
Location - All schools within Portico Academy Trust - initially based at Hamstel school site
Salary- MPR or UPR depending on experience
Hours of work - Full time teaching hours.
Start Date - 1st September 2026 or 1st January 2027
About the role
We are looking to recruit an experienced teacher with experience of teaching children with SEND at all schools within Portico Academy Trust. Initially based at Hamstel school site but the post holder will be expected to work over all schools in the Trust.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
· Plan and teach groups of children with SEND needs to support their knowledge and understanding of the core subjects, including phonics.
· Conduct key SEND assessments to support the SENDCo
· Maintain, order and develop resources pertaining to SEND for staff/pupils to use.
· To support the teachers with the writing of ISP plans, including EAL plans across the school and quality assure those plans
· Provide support and guidance to teaching staff around strategies for those pupils with SEND including team-teaching where applicable.
· Liaise with key agencies including parents around all areas of SEND
· Covering classes when needed

A full driving licence and use of your own car is essential as you will be required to work across other Portico schools on a regular basis.
