We are looking to appoint an HLTA with SEN experience to take the lead in our SEN Rainbow provision in the afternoons, when children are engaged in continuous provision. Our Rainbow Class supports 10 children with SEN needs who require a bespoke curriculum. The room is led by our Assistant SENCo who teaches the class in the mornings. There are 5 additional TAs supporting in the room all day.
We are looking to recruit a resilient, flexible and dynamic HLTA who is willing to direct the work of the supporting TAs during the afternoon sessions, ensuring that the children have access to purposeful and educational continuous provision activities. Planning and preparation time will be provided, as well as time to plan alongside the class teacher. This role requires patience, a good sense of humour, a compassionate and loving nature and a desire to see each of our Rainbow pupils thrive.
The hours will be 12.30-3.30pm, Monday to Friday. This is a term-time only role.
The successful candidate will need:
· Experience of working with children;
· GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics Grade C or above;
· Excellent communication skills;
· To be creative, enthusiastic, energetic and a real team player;
· A clear commitment to the safeguarding of all children.
