We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, compassionate and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving school improvement, enhancing inclusion and ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and pupil wellbeing.
We are a large, vibrant primary school with a strong sense of community, committed to continuous improvement and delivering an exceptional education for all pupils.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day‑to‑day management of the school. They will help to develop the wider curriculum (foundation subjects), champion outcomes for disadvantaged pupils, and support a culture of high expectations across the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and quality of the wider curriculum
- Driving progress and provision for disadvantaged pupils
- Supporting teaching and learning through coaching, CPD and monitoring
- Acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Contributing to whole-school improvement, including the SEF and SDP
- Line managing staff and supporting performance management
- Acting in the absence of the Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher when required
