We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive school community. The successful candidate will create a stimulating, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS Framework.
Foster a positive, caring, and stimulating classroom environment.
Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Monitor and track pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and assessments.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all children.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners.
The ability to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.

Information about the School
St Leonard's C of E Primary School admits Infant and Junior Boys and Girls aged to 4 to 11.
The admissions limit is 45 pupil per year group.
In November 2013, we became part of the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust.
St Leonard's Primary School is one of four schools in the Dengie Hundred forming part of The Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust. The Vine Schools Trust is a growing academy Trust currently serving twenty-three schools across the diocese.
It is our aim to help our schools deliver, within a Christian context, the best educational, spiritual, physical, social and emotional outcomes for children and their families. This is achieved through a range of partnerships, including schools, each local community, churches and our Multi-Academy Trust.

Information about the School
St Leonard's C of E Primary School is located about 3 miles from Burnham on Crouch and 10 miles southeast from Maldon. St Leonard's Church is located in the centre of the town and lies close to Southminster C of E Primary School. The school enjoys a close relationship with the church. At St Leonard's School we all work together to recognise individual needs and support every child. We firmly believe that collective worship is an integral part of our community and through it, our children develop spiritually, morally and socially. Our class teachers are supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who also take on additional responsibilities within the school together with an efficient and dedicated team of administrative staff.
