We are seeking an exceptional Headteacher who will build on the school's strong and established vision of kindness, collaboration and creativity, and who will lead with integrity, ambition and compassion in equal measure.

The successful candidate will be deeply committed to educational excellence and informed by current educational research, with a clear understanding of how high-quality teaching, staff wellbeing and strong relationships underpin outstanding outcomes for children. They will recognise that prioritising the wellbeing of staff is fundamental to enabling every child to flourish.

Our new Headteacher will have the highest expectations for all pupils and staff, regardless of starting points, and will be driven by a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to achieve personal excellence. They will be passionate about supporting children emotionally, socially and academically, ensuring that every pupil is empowered to realise their aspirations and future ambitions.

Partnership and collaboration are central to our ethos, and we are looking for a leader who values strong relationships with families, colleagues, governors and the wider community.

Our school has been awarded the Artsmark Platinum Award. This is the highest creative quality standard in England, awarded by Arts Council England. It recognizes schools and education settings that embed exceptional arts and cultural education across their entire curriculum, foster student leadership and share their creative practices with the wider community. Schools must go through a rigorous evaluation process to achieve this top tier.

Wix and Wrabness is recognised locally and beyond as a centre of excellence for creativity and nurture, including through the Challenge Partners' Areas of Excellence recognition. We are proud of our commitment to educating the "whole child" - providing rich experiences, meaningful opportunities and the confidence for every pupil to make informed choices about their future. This philosophy is at the heart of our school's DNA, and we seek a Headteacher who will champion and further strengthen this vision.

Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed. To make an appointment, please telephone the school office on 01255 870282.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
