Point 9-17Although pay point progression is not guaranteed, it may be reviewed annually with any increase depending on the school's overall budget position as well as performance.
We are seeking to appoint two outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our committed and caring team. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, skilled and highly motivated practitioners who are passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidates will work across a year group, supporting teaching and learning in two classes, delivering high-quality lessons during teacher absence and PPA cover, and providing targeted support for pupils where needed.
We are looking for professionals who:
have HLTA status or significant equivalent experience
can confidently deliver engaging lessons to whole classes
have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
demonstrate excellent behaviour management and communication skills
are flexible, proactive and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
are committed to inclusion and supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and EAL
will actively support the Catholic ethos and values of the school

This role includes regular class cover for teacher absence and PPA time, alongside wider classroom and pastoral support responsibilities.

Information about the School
St Helen’s Catholic Primary School is the oldest Catholic primary school in Southend and has been on the present site since 1973. We are pleased to have served our community for so long. We hope to deliver our mission statement as written by the pupils, to show respect to ourselves, everyone in our school and wider community and most of all to God our Father in heaven.
