Full-time HLTA (30hrs, 38 weeks per year) required from September 2026
Pay £27,694 - £29,064pa pro rata
Parsons Heath is a good school where the wellbeing of each child lies at the heart of all we do.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective qualified Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The successful candidate will become part of our friendly and hard-working team which is dedicated to ensuring our children learn well and are well cared for. The role will involve working with children individually, in small groups and in classes, including teaching some classes when teachers have release time. The role also has an important pastoral element which involves providing a 'listening ear' and some support to children that are finding some emotions and life experiences a challenge. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting all pupils including those with additional needs, you will need to be enthusiastic, positive and able to work on your own initiative as well as follow direction.
The successful candidate will have:
- a high standard of written and spoken English
- excellent numeracy skills
- a strong work ethic with flexibility to respond positively to challenges of day-to-day school life
- a good sense of humour
- excellent communication skills
- a willingness to undertake training
- previous experience of working within a Primary School LSA role
- experience of EYFS desirable
A HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential. We would look to train the correct candidate with appropriate experience.
