Learning Support Assistant/Sports Coach
Hours - 8.40am to 4.10pm (with a 20-minute unpaid lunch break) - 35 hours and 50 minutes per week, term-time only
Salary - Scale 3 Point 7 to Scale 4 Point 8 (actual salary £21,920 to £22,260 per annum, before any applicable deductions)
We are looking for an inspiring, enthusiastic and experienced LSA/Sports Coach to join our over-subscribed and 'Outstanding' 4-form entry Primary School & Nursery. The role will entail supporting in class (Maths and English) and also delivering P.E. lessons and extra-curricular clubs.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to inspire our pupils with an energetic and passionate approach to learning, both in the classroom and during PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs.
- Encourage our pupils as independent learners and support them to work effectively with others.
- Have a history of improving pupils' performance.
- Set high expectations and establish productive working relationships with pupils and staff.
- Be experienced and confident in working with children and be keen to support them academically and pastorally.
- Demonstrate outstanding classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning experience for pupils.
- Be a team player who can engage with pupils and school staff in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
- Be smartly presented, with excellent time management skills.
- Hold a sport-related qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Have knowledge and understanding of the primary P.E Curriculum.
- Have experience of delivering PE lessons in a primary school or coach sports outside of school.
- Have GCSE's (or equivalent) in English and Maths (A*-C/9-4)
