Wraparound Settings Lead (Before & Afterschool Club)

  • Colchester (CO2 area)
  • Part-time (25 hours during term time)
  • Optional overtime during school holidays

Essex Professional Coaching is looking for a dedicated, energetic and caring Wraparound Settings Lead to manage and deliver high-quality provision at one of our primary school settings in Colchester.

As a Settings Lead, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the provision - ensuring it is safe, organised, engaging and compliant with Ofsted standards.

You'll lead your team, build strong relationships with parents and schools, and create an environment where every child feels they belong.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Leading the planning, preparation and delivery of daily activities
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for all children
  • Managing and supporting a small team to deliver high-quality sessions
  • Ensuring Ofsted compliance, safeguarding and wellbeing standards are met at all times
  • Overseeing daily operations including registers, food provision and resources
  • Communicating effectively with parents, schools and the wider team
  • Maintaining accurate records (accidents, attendance, medical info)
  • Ordering food and equipment and managing stock
  • Leading continuous improvement through training, feedback and self-evaluation (CQI)
  • Acting as a brand ambassador, living our company values every day


What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • A passionate, enthusiastic and caring personality
  • Ability to lead and support a team
  • Experience working with children (school, childcare or nursery setting)
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements

Desirable:

  • Childcare or Primary Education qualification
  • Safeguarding certification
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene
  • Knowledge of safeguarding topics (FGM, Prevent, County Lines, CSE)

Successful candidates will receive a job offer followed by full onboarding and induction. The club is in operation between the hours of 7.30am - 9am and 3 - 6pm each day, however the role can have an element of flexibility in terms of the timings.
