We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and skilled Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil who has multiple and complex needs joining our school in Reception 2026. This is a rewarding role that requires patience, sensitivity, and a commitment to helping the pupil access learning and thrive in school.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

· Provide individualised support to enable the pupil to engage in learning and daily routines

· Assist with intimate care, including personal hygiene and toileting

· Carry out manual handling tasks safely and confidently (hoist training provided)

· Support the pupil's communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction

· Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals

· Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

About You

We are looking for someone who:

· Has experience of working with children with SEND, particularly those with significant physical, medical, or developmental needs (desirable but not essential)

· Is calm, patient, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with the pupil and their family

· Is willing to undertake intimate care and follow care plans with dignity and respect

· Is able to follow manual handling guidance and use equipment safely (training provided)

· Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and families

· Is committed to supporting the pupil's wellbeing, independence, and progress
