Finance Assistant
6 hours per week - which can be worked flexibly.
Pay Scale Band 3 point 2 -6. (Salary £4,154 per annum)
The School Finance Assistant will support the effective day‑to‑day financial management of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, helping to ensure that resources are used efficiently to support pupils' learning and wellbeing. Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the postholder is responsible for routine financial processes such as placing orders, processing invoices, monitoring expenditure, and maintaining accurate financial records.
The role requires close attention to detail, a high level of organisation, and the ability to work professionally within a desinated room in the school office. The Finance Assistant will liaise with staff, suppliers, and external contractors, while maintaining confidentiality at all times and demonstrating an understanding of the school's safeguarding responsibilities. A flexible, supportive approach and a commitment to the values and aims of a primary school are essential.
St Joseph's is a small primary school situated in the centre of South Woodham Ferrers. We can ensure a happy and cohesive team to work with and use of the most up to date electronic systems to ensure effcetive time management. We are currently growing our school through the development of our Pre-School, which takes children from the age of 2 years old.
