We are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate and strategic SENDCo to join our team for two days per week. This is a key leadership role within the school, with the flexibility to shape provision and make a genuine difference to pupils and families.

As SENDCo, you will:

  • Lead and further develop high-quality SEND provision across the school
  • Work closely with staff to ensure effective, inclusive classroom practice
  • Support early identification and timely intervention
  • Build strong relationships with families and external agencies
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of inclusion within the school

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is an experienced and knowledgeable SEND practitioner (SENDCo qualification or willingness to undertake)
  • Has a clear understanding of inclusive practice and high-quality teaching for all
  • Is committed to ensuring every child achieves their potential
  • Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Is reflective, organised and able to lead with clarity and purpose
  • Shares our values and commitment to a nurturing, ambitious school community

This is a part-time role (2 days per week), with flexibility on working days.

Flexible Opportunity (Full-Time Option)

We recognise that flexibility is important and are open to structuring the role to attract the right candidate. There is the opportunity to combine this position with:

AReception class teacher role (2-3 days), or
TheYear 1 maternity cover (0.6 FTE)
Thiswould create a full-time position for candidates seeking a broader role.

Little Waltham Church of England VA Primary School is situated in the pretty village of Little Waltham catering for pupils from 5 - 11. We pride ourselves in creating a caring environment based on Christian values which allows children to reach their full academic, social, moral and physical potential.
