  • Salary: Scale 9 - FTE £39862-£44075, pro-rata for role £34,326-£37,954 (dependent on experience)
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a qualified, passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our Trust and play a pivotal role in supporting children's communication, language and interaction needs across our primary schools.

The Role

This is a Trust‑wide role, working closely with school leaders, Alternative Provision leads, SENDCos, teachers and families to deliver high‑quality speech and language support for children aged 4-11.

You will be expected to:

  • Deliver assessment, intervention and review for children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)
  • Support children with a range of needs, including developmental language disorder, speech sound difficulties, social communication needs and associated SEND
  • Contribute to EHCP advice, reviews and target‑setting
  • Model and promote inclusive, communication supportive practice within classrooms
  • Provide training and guidance for school staff and parents/carers
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, child‑centred environment

This role offers the opportunity to make a real and sustained impact, with protected time for planning, collaboration and professional reflection.

The Ideal Candidate

Must have the following:

  • Hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Be HCPC registered (essential)
  • Have experience working with children in education or community settings
  • Demonstrate strong assessment, intervention and report‑writing skills
  • Be confident working collaboratively across schools and services
  • Share Inspires MAT's commitment to inclusion, equity and child‑centred practice

Newly qualified therapists with relevant placement experience are welcome to apply, as are experienced practitioners seeking a value‑led, school‑based role.
