We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled Site Manager to join our friendly junior school community. This is a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for our pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will have experience in site management, facilities, or a similar role, good practical maintenance and DIY skills, and understand school health and safety requirements. You will be organised, reliable, and able to work independently, and enjoy working as part of a close school community and with our inquisitive pupils!
As part of the South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT), the successful candidate will not only support the day-to-day running of the school site but will also work closely with the Head of Estates and collaborate with site and estates colleagues across other SEEAT schools. This provides an excellent opportunity to be part of a wider professional network and contribute to Trust-wide estates developments and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and general DIY tasks
- Oversee cleaning standards and liaise with cleaning staff/contractors
- Manage site security, including opening and closing the school
- Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and alarm systems
- Support contractors on site and oversee works carried out
- Maintain school grounds to a high standard
- Carry out regular health and safety checks, including risk assessments

Information about the School
South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT) is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with eight schools.
SEEAT was inaugurated on 1st April 2014. It was made up from Westcliff High School for Girls, Prince Avenue Academy, Nursery and Children’s Centre (sponsored by WHSG) and Rochford Primary School and Nursery. The Trust enlarged on 1st September 2014 with WHSG sponsoring the academisation of Holt Farm Junior School. In September 2021 The Deanes School, Hadleigh Junior School and The Westborough School joined us followed by Heycroft Primary School in January 2024.
Since April 2024 we have been supporting Cornelius Vermuyden School and working in close partnership, including providing and Executive Head arrangement.
We are a friendly, collaborative family of schools and we believe that all the schools in the family have become significantly stronger since working together as part of SEEAT.
