Millhouse Primary School and Nursery
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and dedicated Receptionist who will be the front face of the school and to ensure provision of an effective administrative and clerical support to the school.
Salary - Scale 3 Point 6-7 (pro-rata salary £23,215 - £23,574)
Hours - 37.5 hours per week 8am-4pm with a half an hour unpaid lunch break
Working weeks - 38 weeks term time plus 1 week of INSET days (paid weeks 44.7)
You will work as part of the administration team to provide a positive impression and experience of the school as the first point of contact for parents and visitors, as well as providing efficient and effective administrative support. The role will suit somebody who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Office Team and School Business Manager and will:
- Handle telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries professionally
- Provide first aid and administer medications for students
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, photocopying and correspondence
- Ensure safeguarding and security procedures are followed, including visitor sign-in
- Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and School Business Manager as required
- Communicate with parents using current systems
- Provide general clerical support as required
- Access information on Sims and Parent Pay and other office systems as appropriate
