Job Title:CateringAssistant
Responsible to:Catering Manager &Headteacher
Salary Grade Range: Scale1 Point 3
£8,386.67(actual salary)
Hours of work:15hours per week
Weeks worked:Fixed Term Contract until 31.08.2026Term time38weeks per year
We are looking for an experiencedCateringAssistantto join our friendlycatering team.
TheCateringAssistantwillbe responsible for:
- Assistingwith preparation, cookingof healthynutritious mealsand servicefor children and staff.
- To follow menu plans agreedbythe Catering Manager.
- To carry out cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas.
- To follow hygiene practices and ensure health and safety regulations areobservedin working practices.
- To attend training activities and meetings asrequired.
We are looking for a person who
- Is organised and calm under pressure
- Is friendly and personable with all members of the school community and has a good sense of humour.
- Is confident working under their own initiative
- Has catering experience
- Has the best interests of the pupils at the heart of what they do.
Level 2 Food Safety and Allergen Awarenessisessentialfor the role but support in obtaining this will be available from our school if not already held.
