Fidgety Feet was established in April 2019. We are an inclusive, welcoming nursery in Matching Green, Essex. Set in a beautiful open-plan building with both an outdoor classroom and extensive garden space. Our philosophy at Fidgety Feet is that every child in our care develops socially and intellectually in a happy, stimulating, inclusive and caring environment. We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and fostering a supportive community for both children (aged 3 months to 5 years in our nursery and up to 11 years in our after school club) and staff.
Join our fantastic team of 12 as our Deputy Manager in our 26 place nursery. We are looking for a fourth person to join our senior leadership team which includes our manager, our assistant manager and our unders 2s lead. Level 3 Early years qualification required plus 2 years post qualifying experience. In this vital role, you will contribute to positively nurturing our children so they can thrive socially and intellectually. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young lives within a caring and inclusive setting. Fidgety Feet is a small unique Montessori Nursery, we are looking for a kind, caring fun person who is hard working and a great team player with a mature fun attitude.

Our Deputy manager would:
Work in partnership with our senior leadership team whilst leading and supporting our staff team.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
Be part of a team who ensures that all Statutory requirements are met.
Maintain open communication with parents about children's development and progress.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Implement the EYFS and lead planning.
Qualifications:
Level 3 Early years qualification required plus 2 years post qualifying experience.
Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a team.
Relevant childcare or early childhood education qualifications.
Enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment.
Valid driving license and access to own vehicle is essential as we are not on a transport link.
Commitment to inclusive practices and continuous professional development.
Working 30-40 hours per week over 4 days during the hours 8.00am to 6.00pm.
Fidgety Feet opens for 46 weeks per year. The position involves working all 46 weeks. We close for 3 weeks in August, 2 weeks at Christmas and 1 week at Easter . We close for all bank holidays . All 6 weeks and bank holidays are paid holidays.
