The Governors and Headteacher are seeking an exceptional leader to join us at St John's - someone who shares our values, believes in our vision and is committed to helping our whole school community flourish. The Deputy Headteacher is a pivotal role and will work closely with the Headteacher and governors to shape the future direction of the school.
We are looking for a leader who embodies our Christian vision through their actions, leads with integrity and professionalism, and inspires others to achieve their best. The successful candidate will motivate and develop colleagues, contribute thoughtfully to strategic leadership and maintain high expectations for all.
The pupils, staff, parents, governors and our local community are proud of our school where students are happy, well-behaved and enjoy learning. The school has a good track record of success and delivers positive outcomes for all pupils regardless of background or ability.
We would encourage you to talk to us in advance of your application, look at the school website and perhaps visit our school in order to see for yourself the enthusiasm that our students have for their education, the dedication of our staff, the great facilities that the school offers and illustrations of its ethos. If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role or arrange to visit, please contact the School Business Manager, Jenny Whitelaw, on 01245 222173 or via admin@st-johns-danbury.essex.sch.uk.
The Governors and Headteacher are highly committed to the school's long-term development, success and sustainability and will give strong support to the Deputy Headteacher in their new role.
For further information please see the Deputy Headteacher application pack.
Information about the School
St John’s school is a one-form-entry primary school situated in Danbury, which is a picturesque friendly village community 6 miles to the east of Chelmsford. The school has extensive grounds, an all-weather running track, an indoor swimming pool and good facilities which are used to the full by the children through the curriculum, clubs and sporting activities. We have strong links with local churches and the community. There is a Pre-School nursery in our grounds which operates independently of us but has strong links. The Parents’ and Friends Association is very active and contributes significantly to the life of the school.
