Job Title: Tea Time Club Leader (Early Years Foundation Stage 3 - 5years)
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 2.45pm - 5.45pm (Term Time Only)
Grade: Level 5, SCP 8 - 12
Salary: £7,259.34 - £7,739.43 per annum (actual salary)
About the Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Tea Time Club Leader to supervise and engage children aged 3 - 5 (Nursery and Reception) during our after school Tea Time Club. This role involves creating a safe, calm, and enjoyable end of day environment where children can relax, eat, and participate in simple activities before being collected by parents or carers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for Nursery and EYFS children from 2.45pm - 5.45pm
- Serve light tea/snacks and encourage good table manners
- Organise calm, age-appropriate activities (stories, crafts, games, quiet play)
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of all children
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
- Communicate with parents/carers at collection time
- Work collaboratively with school/nursery staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with young children (Nursery, EYFS, childcare, or similar)
- Level 3 qualification in Nursery Nursing / Early Years Childcare (Essential)
- A warm, patient, and positive approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- An understanding of safeguarding and child wellbeing
