RECEPTION CLASS TEACHER - required September 2026
This is a fixed term contract until 31/08/2028 in the first instance.
We are seeking to appoint a creative and inspiring teacher to join our existing Early Years team. At Myland, we have a Reception intake of 45 children and staff work across the whole team, getting to know and teach all of the children across the week.
You will be a highly effective classroom teacher, with a passion for Early Years. You will be able to motivate, inspire and challenge pupils in order to help them achieve their very best and will also have a thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum, effective Early Years practice and effective phonics provision.
Our children have a great appetite for learning which enables our teachers and support staff to plan and teach in an exciting way. ECTs are very welcome to apply and will be supported by an experienced mentor and supportive wider team.

We are ideally situated close to both the A12 and Colchester station, with excellent transport links and access to public transport. We are also one of 34 schools nationally with designated English Hub status from the DfE and our staff benefit from access to high quality CPD.
