Job Details
General maintenance duties relating to the care, security, and maintenance of the buildings and to provide a service to staff, students and contractors on a shift pattern as part of the Estates and Facilities Team for USP College campuses.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide and promote a high level of customer service to the staff, students, contractors, visitors, emergency services and other users of the College
- To ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy of the College and other instructions given as necessary. Rectifying or reporting defects where appropriate and reporting or rectifying safety hazards or unsafe working arrangements.
- To ensure appropriate security levels are adhered to with response to alarm activations or similar call-outs relating to all college functions. Adhere to day to day and emergency procedures relating to locking/unlocking functions, alarms, liaising with emergency services and the safety of our students.
- Provide appropriate access to the buildings in the event of adverse weather conditions or similar emergency situations.
- Attend to all enquiries and assist in the efficient maintenance, inspection and repair of the plant, equipment, furniture, fixtures & fittings and fabric of the buildings and outbuildings.
- Attend and assist with clearing, cleaning and other housekeeping duties deemed necessary by the Deputy Head of Estates and Compliance.
- To assist as required with Maintaining and following procedure for logging and delivery of incoming parcels and deliveries to the college.
- Attend to and assist with the day-to-day operation of the reprographics service.
- Assist with College Lettings.
- Attend all meetings and events as specified by Management, as deemed necessary for College purposes, to provide effective support and meet service requirements.
