Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3pm - 6pm.

Term time plus 2 additional weeks (40 working weeks)

Actual salary: £8,693.71 per annum
Full time equivalent: £24,413

Waterman Primary School is a school where children are at the HEART. Our school provides a happy, caring and safe learning environment for all.

To help us maintain this, we are currently recruiting for a Cleaner to join our friendly team.

The role will involve cleaning our communal areas, classrooms and swimming pool area, replenishing stock and emptying bins etc.

We are looking for individuals that are:

  • organised and diligent
  • friendly and personable with all members of our school community
  • confident and able to work on their own initiative
  • aware of health and safety, taking responsibility for their personal safety and that of others
  • has the interests of children at the heart of what they do

Waterman Primary School is a small, friendly school in the heart of Rochford, serving the local community. At Waterman we are committed to supporting each and every family and child who attends our school. We support children's SEMH needs, strive for academic excellence and ensure our children have the best opportunities while with us.

At Waterman, we provide free weekly swimming lessons to all of our children, in a newly refurbished, in-door heated on-site pool. We also provide Forest Schools lessons, which our children thoroughly enjoy. While Year 6 outcomes have improved year on year for the past 4 years. Waterman is smaller than many other local schools and is made up of four classes - Nursery & Reception, Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6.

The school calendar year has 184 days of contact time with pupils, 5 non-pupil days, and the equivalent of 6 days of high quality continuous professional development.
