About this Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Lead, who will play a pivotal role in shaping inclusive practice across the school.
The ideal candidate will hold their National Award for SEN Co-Ordination (NASENCo) and, effectively manage the strategic development of our SEND provision to ensure we provide high-quality support for all pupils with additional needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, support staff, external agencies and families to ensure every child receives the personalised support they need.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess and monitor the needs and progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring that interventions are targeted and effective
- Offer guidance, coaching and training to staff to promote strong inclusive practice across the school
- Oversee, review and quality‑assure EHCPs and support plans, while maintaining effective working relationships with external agencies including health professionals and the local authority
- Ensure the school remains compliant with statutory SEND requirements and the SEND Code of Practice
- Work closely with parents and carers to build strong, supportive partnerships

Information about the School
South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT) is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with eight schools.
SEEAT was inaugurated on 1st April 2014. It was made up from Westcliff High School for Girls, Prince Avenue Academy, Nursery and Children’s Centre (sponsored by WHSG) and Rochford Primary School and Nursery. The Trust enlarged on 1st September 2014 with WHSG sponsoring the academisation of Holt Farm Junior School. In September 2021 The Deanes School, Hadleigh Junior School and The Westborough School joined us followed by Heycroft Primary School in January 2024.
Since April 2024 we have been supporting Cornelius Vermuyden School and working in close partnership, including providing and Executive Head arrangement.
We are a friendly, collaborative family of schools and we believe that all the schools in the family have become significantly stronger since working together as part of SEEAT.
