We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging teacher to be part of the thriving Music department at Helena Romanes School. The Music department consists of passionate subject specialists who have a wealth of expertise in different aspects of teaching and learning. This post would be suitable for either an ECT or an experienced colleague who has a desire to help shape the future of music across our school.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and committed to delivering high quality lessons and to promote the best outcomes for students, including developing literacy and oracy throughout all lessons.
Our students follow the syllabus set out by OCR at GCSE which interweaves aspects of World Music and Popular music with great success and as a result, the music department currently has almost 90 students choosing GCSE music as a subject option. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a working knowledge of this at the interview.
It is an exciting time to join Helena Romanes School as we have a new building commissioned by the DofE and the prospect of moving into state-of-the-art new premises is on the horizon.
