Evening Caretaker/Lettings Coordinator

Start date: ASAP

Perm / part-time / 52 weeks per year / 23 hours per week

Southend LGPS Scale 4 (£25,989 FTE)

Pro-rated salary £16,155 per annum (based on 23 hours per week)

Shift patterns worked will be between the hours of -
Monday & Friday evenings (17:30 - 21:30)
Tuesday to Thursday evenings (17:30 - 22:30)

Work during day time hours in the school holiday periods and evenings during the weekend will also be considered based on demand.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Chase High School Site Team as an Evening Caretaker/Lettings Coordinator.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the school by supporting evening activities, managing lettings, and assisting with site maintenance.

Post holders will be responsible for front-of-house services within the sports facilities. Duties will include, but are not limited to: receiving and processing lettings, ensuring facilities are safe and ready for hirers, overseeing equipment required for bookings, and managing day-to-day operations during lettings hours.

In addition, they will form part of the wider Caretaking Team, with responsibilities for maintaining a safe, secure, clean, and well-presented environment across the school premises.

Chase High School is a mixed, mainstream secondary school located in Westcliff-on-Sea, near Southend, Essex. It educates more than 1,000 students aged 11-18 from over 40 countries. Since 2011, the school has had a sixth form.

Chase High School was built more than 100 years ago and recently secured academy status under the Discovery Educational Trust. The secondary school continues to be involved in the community, forging local and international partnerships.
