Site Manager Vacancy

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 7:00am - 3:30pm (with 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: Level 7 (SCP 21-27) depending on experience

Actual Salary: £33.5k to £38.7K depending on experience

Annual Leave: Up to 30 days depending on continuous service (to be taken during school closure periods) plus 8 days public holidays


About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Manager to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our school premises. This is a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-managed environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee site maintenance, security, and Health & Safety compliance.
Manage and implement Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Review, assess, and produce Risk Assessments (including COSHH and Fire Risk Assessments).
Supervise a small team and liaise effectively with senior leadership, staff, contractors, and the Local Authority.
Carry out practical repairs and maintenance as required.

Ideal Candidate

Background in building/site maintenance and management.
Experience implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Health & Safety qualifications (training can be provided if required).
IT literate with strong communication skills.
Hands-on experience with tools and general maintenance.
Ability to manage a small team effectively.
