St Nicholas C of E Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a SEND Midday Assistant to join the team as soon as possible. This position is on a fixed term contract linked to pupil funding.

The hours are 11:50am to 1:05pm Monday to Friday, 6 hours 15 minutes per week - term time only for 38 weeks per year.

Salary Scale 3, Point 5 (Range 5-6) Actual Salary: £3,613 per annum (includes paid annual leave, which must be taken during school closure periods).

We are seeking to appoint an empathic, patient and dependable SEND Midday Assistant to work 1:1 with a registered blind (Year 5) pupil, to support and maintain their safety and welfare during their lunchtime break and assist with their meal times where necessary.

We are looking for someone who:
· has experience working with SEND pupils or those with visual impairments
· is self-motivated, reliable and well organised, and has an understanding of the caring attitude and commitment essential to such a role and be willing to support this
· can show initiative and flexibility, be patient and understand the confidential nature of this role
· is able to work independently, as well as part of a team
· is willing to undertake any training as necessary for this role
