  • Is committed to the school's inclusive nature and recognises the importance of meeting the diverse needs of all our pupils.
  • Has a secure understanding of safeguarding matters and advocates for the safety and welfare of all pupils.
  • Shall be committed to outdoor play and learning within the curriculum as is already fostered within the school through OPAL and Forest school.
  • Will be committed to working in partnership with other local schools and understands the benefit this brings to the school and the local community.
  • Fosters a positive learning culture and encourages continued further development of staff.

Our pupils are looking for a new headteacher who;

  • Greets them at the school gate with a smile each day.

  • Is approachable and available for the children to talk to if they have any issues.
  • Shares our school virtues.
  • Is fun and wants to make the school environment a bright and happy one.

In return we are able to offer you;

  • Pupils who embody the Mayflower Primary School character virtues and ethos.
  • A team of hard working, motivated staff who are all driven by the desire for their pupils to succeed.
  • Staff who are trained and committed to our schools academic and person centred curriculum.
  • An active and engaging educational partnership with other local schools.
  • A supportive and effective Governing Board.

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school, welcoming children from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, cultures and with individual needs. Our commitment is to ensure every child at Mayflower Primary receives the support they require, so when they leave our school they have been able to reach their full potential.
