Do you want to become part of this truly exciting project and help to train the next generation of individuals to work in the Aviation Industry? Have you ever considered a career in teaching? Make an appointment to come and look around our fantastic college where our managers will be happy to discuss the role with you.

Our £11million Stansted Airport College opened in September 2018. The College is a partnership between London Stansted Airport and Harlow College - the first of its kind at any airport in the country. The centre was purpose built with industry standard facilities providing training for 500 young people per year.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented individual to deliver our NCFE and Gateway Aviation Operations curriculum to approximately 200+ 16-18 years and beyond students. Knowledge of the aviation environment is essential to deliver units that include:

Airport or airline ground and air operations
Customer service
Aviation Meteorology
Health and Safety in Aviation Industry
Aviation Security and Aviation Communications

You should have experience in one or more of the following areas; airside operations, customer service and terminal management, security and flight operations to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education. We offer a vibrant and positive learning environment for our students and you will play a key role in preparing, planning, co-ordinating, assessing and delivering both theory and practical sessions to our Aviation Operation Trainees.

Experience within the aviation environment is essential, however you don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.

What we can offer

The successful candidate can expect significant investment in their professional development as well as an excellent benefits package including 50 days of annual leave, including bank holidays, in addition to time off at Easter and Christmas which does not affect your annual leave entitlement! We have an industry leading Pension Scheme (Teachers' Pension Scheme) and excellent family friendly policies.

If you are looking to work within a fast-paced organisation where we believe all our people, both staff and students, have the potential to succeed in whatever they set their minds to, then this is the role for you. This college is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
