ASSISTANT HEAD - PASTORAL
Pay Range - dependent upon experience

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Head - Pastoral. This is a pivotal role focused on safeguarding, wellbeing, and behavior across the school. You will lead our pastoral strategy, ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategic leadership of pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives.
· Oversight of safeguarding and child protection procedures in line with statutory guidance.
· Line management of Heads of Year and pastoral support staff.
· Development of behavior and attendance strategies to promote positive engagement.
· Collaboration with parents, external agencies, and staff to support student welfare.
· Monitoring and reporting on pastoral data to inform school improvement.
About You
· Significant experience in pastoral leadership or student support within an educational setting.
· Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence others.
· Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex situations calmly and effectively.
· Commitment to promoting equality, inclusion, and wellbeing.
· This is a non-Teaching role.
