Child and Family Support Worker
Salary: Scale 6 Local Government Pay Scale - points 13 to 17 (£29,064 - £31,022); 35 hours per week (8.30am - 4pm)
Required from 1st January 2026
Are you a hardworking, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children (and their families) to overcome social, emotional and mental health barriers preventing them from fulfilling their potential?
If so, you may be what we are looking for at Edward Francis Primary School - a popular school with approximately 420 children serving a catchment area a short distance from Rayleigh town centre. We aim to PREPARE children for their lives beyond primary school by instilling in them the values of Positivity, Respect, Effort, Partnership, Aspiration, Resilience and Enjoyment.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to:
- Maintain professional boundaries when working with adults and children.
- Be approachable, empathic and diplomatic with a good sense of humour.
- Be reliable and trustworthy, using sound professional judgement when receiving and dealing with sensitive information.
- Work flexibility and supportively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Take on responsibility and show initiative in a range of situations.
- Communicate in ways that are appropriate to the situation and recognise differences.
