Little Waltham Church of England VA Primary School is seeking a compassionate and dedicatedLearning Support Assistantto join ourLower Key Stage 2 team. Located in the picturesque village of Little Waltham, our school is known for its welcoming environment, rooted in our Christian values-Compassion, Courage, Forgiveness, and Perseverance-which guide our approach to education and nurture each child's potential and character.
About the Role
We are excited to welcome an enthusiastic and caring LSA who will work full-time within one of our Lower Key Stage 2 classes, supporting pupils to become confident, successful, and independent learners. You will play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum, develop strong learning behaviours, and flourish as part of our school community.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference to children's learning and wellbeing, and who enjoys working as part of a supportive and forward-thinking team.
Position Details
Contract:Fixed term until the end of the academic year (July 2026)
Hours:Monday to Friday, term-time only, 8:35 am - 3:15 pm
Starting Salary: £25,583 FTE,actual salary £17,017 (pro rata)
Start Date:As soon as possible / negotiable

Be committed to enabling pupils to achieve their full potential
Have experience supporting children's learning, ideally in primary education
Show initiative, patience, and a nurturing approach to children's needs
Support pupils with a range of learning, social, and emotional needs
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
Use IT confidently to support learning and classroom activities
Uphold positive behaviour and help create a calm, purposeful learning environment
Embrace our school Christian values and bring a positive, warm sense of humour
