JOB DESCRIPTION - KS1 Class Teacher (part-time)
Required for January 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS
We are seeking to appoint an experienced class teacher to join our happy, supportive and dedicated staff team. Working in Key Stage 1 as part of a job share, the successful applicant will be passionate about teaching and learning and hold high expectations of achievement for all children.
We are looking for a teacher who:
has excellent classroom practice with high expectations of pupil achievement
is positive and enthusiastic about children's learning
has excellent communication and organisational skills
is creative, adaptable and demonstrates a commitment to school improvement
has a willingness to be involved in all aspects of school life

About our School
Birchanger C of E Primary school is a small, church school - our vision is 'Life in all its Fullness' and as a school this is what we celebrate. We pride ourselves on our nurturing culture and knowing all our children and families.Our school community is diverse and comes from our village, the surrounding area and countries further afield. We currently have 94 pupils aged between 4-11 years old.
We are a popular school and have an excellent reputation for our friendly community and well-behaved pupils. Our staff team is small and supportive, and we like to have fun both with the children and within our team.
