Job Title: WMJ Mid-Day Assistant
Employment Type: Term time only, Part Time Fixed Term
Hours: 7.5 Per week
Salary: Pay Range: Scale 2 point 3
Reporting to: Head of School
We are seeking to appoint a friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic Mid-Day Assistant who can effectively support children with varying needs. We are looking for someone who would work in KS1/KS2 in the Vine Schools West hub (William Martin Schools). Experience is preferable.
The schools are part of the Chelmsford Diocesan Vine Academy Trust.
The successful candidate will:
MDA Duties
To assist children in selecting their meal and sitting in an appropriate place in the dining hall, sandwich room.
To assist children with eating their meal if applicable.
To clear tables when meals are finished and clear up any associated spillages.
To enforce the necessary sanctions for maintaining good order.
To administer basic first aid as required.
To keep daily records of first aid administered, behaviour and sanctions employed, together with any other relevant records that may be needed.
To provide pastoral care, guidance and routine advice to pupils as appropriate.
Where necessary and appropriate to lead games and activities with the children.
To alert Senior Midday Assistant and/or the Headteacher of any concerns regarding an individual child or group of children

Information about the School
William Martin Infant and Junior Schools are two form entry schools with a nursery also attached. Our school is a member of The Vine Schools Trust, the academy attached to the Diocese of Chelmsford. This allows us to work closely with other schools in the Trust including St James primary school in Harlow. Gina Bailey is Executive Headteacher of the three Harlow Schools.
