                 Squirrels Preschool is looking for a Level 3 qualified manager to take our setting forward following our recent Ofsted inspection where we were rated Good.
 You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the setting including, but not limited to, overseeing the delivery of a high-quality curriculum, managing staff, and working with parents to ensure the needs of children are met. You will also work closely with the Manager of the community centre in which we are based, and the Finance Officer, to oversee budgets and expenditure.
 We are looking to recruit someone who:Holds a full and relevant Level 3 qualification.
 Holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable).
 Is warm and caring, contributing to an environment where both children and adults feel welcome, safe, happy and cared for.
 Is willing to be challenged and to proactively undertake Continuing Professional Development in order to be the best practitioner they can be.
 Has a detailed knowledge of the EYFS and can use this knowledge to plan and implement high quality activities that help children to achieve their next steps.
 Is able to create a stimulating learning environment where all children can achieve their highest potential.
 Has experience in the role of Key Person, carrying out observations and compiling children's Learning Journeys.
 Is able to work closely with colleagues, parents/carers and other professionals to ensure the needs of all children are met, and promote the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of every child.
 Has a detailed knowledge of child development and is able to recognise where children may need additional support. They will be confident in reporting these concerns to the setting SENDco, working with them and any outside professionals necessary to implement strategies that support children in their development. Experience as a SENco is desirable.
 Is highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Has knowledge of safeguarding procedures, Child Protection issues and wider legislative requirements for working with children. Safeguarding training will be provided as part of the induction programme. Experience as a Desgnated Safeguarding Lead is desirable.
 Works to the setting policies and procedures at all times.
