Location: Based at Lift Greensward, Hockley, Essex (with regular travel to other schools when required)
Salary: £38,217.89 + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits
Hours: 37 hours per week, Full-time

Lead our IT service to support great teaching every day
We're looking for an experienced and proactive IT Team Leader to guide and develop our South Essex regional IT team across six schools in Hockley and the surrounding area. You'll shape day-to-day operations, support colleagues, and lead improvements that help children and staff get the most from technology.
You'll be based predominantly at Lift Greensward and work regularly across the six schools within the hub: Lift Greensward, Lift Ashingdon, Lift Hockley, Lift Pioneer, Lift Plumberow, and Lift Westerings.
All sites are within close proximity, and travel costs from Lift Greensward will be reimbursed.

What you'll be doing
- Lead, line manage and develop IT colleagues across the South Essex region
- Act as the escalation point for more complex technical issues
- Ensure systems, devices, and infrastructure remain reliable, safe and well-maintained
- Build strong, positive working relationships with Principals and school teams
- Support small-to-medium scale improvement and upgrade projects
- Promote secure practices aligned with GDPR and Keeping Children Safe in Education
About you
You'll thrive if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in IT support with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Have line management experience, coaching others to develop
- Communicate effectively and build trust with colleagues across schools
- Are organised, proactive and solutions-focused
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (travel expenses reimbursed)
- Experience with Google Workspace, Ubiquiti/Aruba networks, or working in schools is beneficial
