School Catering Assistant
Location: Spring Meadow Primary School
Hours: 20 Hours Per Week, 10.30am to 2.30pm, Term Time Only
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Scale 2, Point 3
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our busy school kitchen team. You will help prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals to our pupils and staff, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming dining environment and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals.
Help set up and clear the dining area before and after service.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and in line with school procedures.
Support the catering team in providing meals that meet dietary and nutritional standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Friendly and approachable, with a positive attitude.
A good team player who can also work independently.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Experience in a catering or kitchen role would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
