We are looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to work at Witham Oaks Academy, this position is initially a fixed term contract whilst the substantive postholder is on leave.
This position is for 10 hours per week. (Monday to Friday, 11.45am - 1.45pm, (Term-time only + one week (non-pupil days)) required asap.
Salary - Scale 2 point 3 (actual starting salary £5,745 per annum)
This is a fixed term position to cover for the absence of the substantive postholder on leave. Should the employee return to duty, your appointment will cease with statutory notice.
We are looking for someone who has:
- High standards of personal hygiene.
- The ability to complete tasks speedily and accurately.
- The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, pupils, staff and visitors.
- The ability to work either alone or as part of a team.
- The ability to complete all necessary documentation including timesheets, temperature sheets and cleaning schedules
Your duties will include:
- The preparation and simple cooking of food & beverages.
- Serving pupils at the counter/hatch or from a trolley or kiosk as required.
- To undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment (light and heavy), walls (up to 6ft.) floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware etc. as directed.
