Queen Boudica Primary School is a thriving and successful two-form entry primary school situated on the north side of Colchester. We offer modern, well-resourced learning environments and our pupils are well mannered, dynamic and motivated to learn. We place great value on kindness and compassion and treat all our children and their families accordingly.
We are delighted that our Ofsted inspection (March 2023) confirmed our good provision and recognised that 'pupils love coming to school. Pupils feel safe and thrive in this welcoming and nurturing school. Behaviour is exemplary and bullying is exceptionally rare.' The inspection also noted the strong quality of provision in EYFS, in particular:
"Children make a strong start to their education in Reception. They rapidly settle and learn their sounds and numbers. Provision is strong, both inside and outside the classroom. Children have opportunities to practise their phonics, number and writing in well-planned learning activities. Leaders ensure that the curriculum is interesting and includes children's ideas. Children behave, work and play well together. Routines are consistent. All adults have high expectations for children's learning and achievement. Children feel safe in the provision. They are well prepared for Year 1."
We are seeking to appoint an EYFS Learning Support Assistant to support pupils joining school in Reception. The successful candidate will have a qualification either at NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or experience of support work in a nursery or primary school setting. A Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.

· Good Maths, English and ICT skills
· An ability to work in a nurturing/SEND role as well as provide general classroom support
· An ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/carers and SENCO
· Experience of working with EAL pupils would be an advantage
