Humanities Teacher (KS3 and KS4)

Part time: Required from January 2026 (November/December start considered)

St John's is a co-educational Independent School for pupils aged between 2 and 16 years. We are proud of our educational provision and offer you the opportunity to join our successful school.

We are looking for a strong candidate to join our successful Humanities department working on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, teaching mostly Religious Studies and some Sociology to our pupils in KS3 and KS4. This is a temporary role for the rest of the academic year, but it is likely that there will be a new role within the Humanities department from September 2026, most likely involving teaching Geography and RS. The successful candidate must:

· Be passionate about their subjects and convey this passion with our pupils through their lessons and extra-curricular provision.

· Be an excellent classroom practitioner who can engage and inspire pupils to achieve success.

· Be enthusiastic, a team player, self-motivated and innovative.

· Be a positive role model for our pupils.

· Have excellent communication skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate.

· Be looking for an opportunity to make an impact and share their ideas for further success.
