An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a highly organised individual as Assistant SENDCo. The successful candidate will deliver an efficient and effective administrative and support service for SEND across the college. Key responsibilities include line managing the Learning Support Assistant team, carrying out essential administrative tasks, and supporting the learning process.
This role requires experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a strong understanding of how conditions such as Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD can impact students' ability to access the curriculum. The candidate should also be familiar with strategies that support student learning and promote inclusion.
Ideally, candidates should hold GCSE passes in English and Maths. It is essential that they have knowledge and/or experience of SEND legislation, policies, and procedures within a school setting. The candidate must also be confident using computers and capable of producing documentation to a high standard of written English.

We are a highly respected and over-subscribed Catholic college that Ofsted found to be outstanding in its commitment to the social, moral and spiritual development of all its students. Our recent section 48 inspection found the college to have many other areas of outstanding practice.
The pay band for the role is Scale 6 (scp 13 to 17), which is £29,064 to £31,022.
The hours of work for the role will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total).
The actual salary for the role (inclusive of holiday pay) is £24,916.78 to £26,595.39 (under 5 years' service) or £25,251.23 to £26,952.37 (over 5 years' service).
