Midday and Servery Assistant required for Stambridge Primary School
Hours: 8.75hours per week. Monday to Friday
Working weeks: Term time only (38 weeks per year)
Actual salary: £4,827.73 - £4,903.47 per annum
FTE: £24,413 to £24,796
November start
Stambridge Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic, caring Midday and Servery Assistant who enjoys working with children to join their friendly, supportive team.
As Midday and Servery Assistant you will help to maintain a safe, happy and secure environment during lunchtime for our lovely children. You will assist with the collection and serving of cooked meals, whilst maintaining a clean and safe serving area.

Successful applicants will:
- Supervise children in the lunch hall
- Assist with the collection and serving of meals
- Maintain a hygienic and safe servery area
- Encourage imaginative play outside (and indoors when it's raining)
- Ensure the good behaviour of pupils
- Administer first aid

Information about the School
Stambridge Primary School is a small, rural school with lovely children. The team are dedicated to the community they provide for and work hard to ensure the children get the best education possible, as well as varied experiences and opportunities. Stambridge Primary School has grown in size over the past few years but we still have smaller than average classes with approximately 22-27 children in each class. We have four split year group classes - Nursery & Reception, Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6.
Stambridge Primary School is part of the HEARTS Academy Trust, a Trust of local schools that has the values of happiness, equity, achievement, resilience, truth and spirituality. The Trust is truly innovative and rewards outstanding staff for outstanding outcomes. The school calendar year has 184 days of contact time with pupils, 5 non-pupil days, and the equivalent of 6 days of high quality continuous professional development.
Stambridge Primary School and the HEARTS Academy Trust are focused on reducing teacher workload and supporting wellbeing of adults is a big focus too. Things we have done to reduce workload over the past few years include:
Focused 'live feedback' policy that reduces the time it takes to 'mark' books as we focus on live feedback in the lessons.
Shared resources across all six schools at HEARTS using MS Teams and MS One Drive to reduce planning time.
An additional week off each academic year (currently in October) in return for regular twilight meetings focusing on CPD across the MAT from 3:30-6pm.
A school-improvement team that works across all six schools, supporting the development of the curriculum and teacher development.
A wide variety of middle leader and senior leader opportunities across the wider Trust.
